The Ekka is back this year. Bigger than ever with the edition of the new Fashion and Fine Food pavillion, which hosts the Royal Queensland Food & Wine Show stage with chef demonstrations, the Royal Queensland Steakhouse restaurant, fashion parades, as well as food and wine exhibitors. The traditional favourites are also all there at the RNA showgrounds.
Last Saturday I went along on an exclusive food tour with fellow foodie bloggers/Tweeters. Here’s a few highlights of the day to tempt you if you haven’t made it yet. The Ekka ends this Saturday 17th August!

After walking around the Woolworths pavillion and the Fashion and Fine Foods pavillion, we were treated to an amazing 3-course lunch at the Royal Queensland Steakhouse restaurant (menu here).

We had a brief break from food in which fellow blogger Jessalyn, from Feedmenowbrisbane, and I went to go play with farm animals!
We finished off an excellent day with no other than the famous strawberry sundae. Yum!
